SART (ARTwekkelo Foundation) is a dynamic organization on behalf of artists and designers. SART was founded in the village of Twekkelo, but is not limited to this beautiful rural area.
In the countryside between the cities of Enschede and Hengelo, historic farmsteads and industrial heritage provide workspace to artists and other creative entrepreneurs. It's an inspiring environment to work and a good steppingstone to sell and to exhibit in the nearby towns. SART offers workshops in the cities too and developes thematic workshops as a bronze workshop and the SmARTlab Plrd; a workshop for artists, scientists and entrepreneurs focussed on smart materials and new technology.
SART organizes masterclasses, exhibitions and art events in the countryside, in the surrounding cities and far beyond.
